Heat Exchanger 1D Simulation Tool

The Empirical Tool (Heat Exchanger 1D Simulation) generated from various empirical correlations helps in quick solutions for various designs and reduces the overall turnaround time. It enables a swift response to customer's technical queries by predicting thermal and hydraulic performance of a heat exchanger. For predictions, it uses the Single Phase Tool for Radiators and Heater Cores and a Two Phase Tool for Condensers.

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

Effective in optimizing designs at concept stage, CFD is spearheading R&D progression. This cuts down the overall development time and, in turn, aids in reducing the physical validation in product development cycle. PVL is streamlining its products making them effective, lighter and robust with the use of CFD tool ANSYS FLUENT.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

FEA helps tremendously in optimization of stiffness, strength visualizations and also in minimizing weight, materials and costs. PVL deploys FEA for optimal product design at the concept level, leading to an overall reduction in product development cycle. FEA also helps in understanding the root cause of failures that occur in the field by closely simulating the field conditions.

1D System Performance Prediction Tool (GT-Suit, Matlab/Simulink)

PVL uses commercial simulation tools (GT-Suit, Matlab/Simulink) for Battery cooling, Cabin air conditioning, motor & power electronics, engine cooling, oil cooing and complete vehicle thermal management and system/component optimization and integration.
